The Hill has been seeing a flurry of activity since the beginning of summer, as Harmony Hill welcomes its newest caretakers, the Greg Wright family.

Greg, Sharon, Zachary, Garrett, and Tanner have been living and serving in the Overland Park, KS, area for many years. They have faithfully attended Overland Park Church of God (Holiness) and have been an integral part of the ministry there. They have also been a part of many other Church of God (Holiness) ministries over the years. Greg has worked at Herald & Banner press for 24 years and has served as Print Manager since 2008. He currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Kansas Christian College Board and is Treasurer of the Foundation Board. Sharon just finished her 18th year as an adjunct professor at Kansas Christian College and has led the children’s ministry at the Overland Park Church. Sharon also taught for 18 years in the Shawnee Mission, KS school district, mostly teaching third grade.

Greg and Sharon have made the choice to move from their busy and active life in Overland Park to continue serving the Lord and the Church of God (Holiness) in a new way. The Wrights have shared that they “Have a desire to continue to work in ministry, especially helping the youth of the Church of God (Holiness). We feel that God has led us back to the Hill by opening many doors.“

Greg and Sharon are no strangers to Harmony Hill. They each have a long history at the camp going back to their childhoods. They each were on the Hill at a very early age enjoying the children’s services during Youth Camp and attending Boys' and Girls' Camps. They then attended Youth Camp, where they met and began dating.

As they grew into adulthood, they have continued to support Harmony Hill Ministries in a wide variety of ways. They served together as Youth Camp Children’s Workers for three years and directed Kids’ Kamp for six years, and have also sponsored teams for Youth Camp. Sharon served on the Youth Council as Treasurer for nine years. She also served as a Youth Camp cook for two years, and as activities director for Kids’ Kamp.

Greg has also been active in his service at Harmony Hill. He served several years on the Harmony Hill Board, on the Kids Kamp leadership team since 2016, and has volunteered at Youth Camp for everything from serving breakfast to maintenance projects.

Greg and Sharon bring a wealth of experience, organization, and knowledge to Harmony Hill. Most importantly, though, they bring a love for the camp and its ministries and a desire to see it continue to bring young people to know Christ.

Pray for the Wright family as they transition their family to a new home and ministry.
